These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CollabAId’s website, mobile application, and related services (the “Platform”). By accessing or using CollabAId, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use CollabAId.
  • Users under 18 years may use the Platform only with verifiable parental or institutional consent.
  • You represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

2. Account Registration & Security

  • You must register with your university/institutional email or approved credentials.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to notify CollabAId immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activities.
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or misrepresent your identity.
  • Harass, abuse, or defame other users.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of CollabAId or third parties.
  • Attempt to bypass security or reverse engineer the Platform.

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain ownership of academic materials, resumes, projects, and communications you upload. By posting, you grant CollabAId a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and share your content solely to operate the Platform.
  • CollabAId’s Content: The Platform, trademarks, algorithms, and designs are the exclusive property of CollabAId. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without prior written consent.

5. Services & Recommendations

  • CollabAId provides AI-powered recommendations for projects, collaborations, and opportunities.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or outcomes of such recommendations. Users are solely responsible for verifying suitability.

6. Institutional & Third-Party Access

  • Universities may have dashboards and analytics access for institutional subscriptions.
  • CollabAId may integrate with third-party services (e.g., LMS, repositories). By using these integrations, you agree to their terms.
  • CollabAId is not liable for third-party services’ actions or policies.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Certain features may require institutional or industry subscriptions.
  • Payments, billing cycles, and refunds are governed by separate agreements with the institution.
  • Individual users are not charged unless explicitly notified.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • CollabAId complies with:
    • India’s DPDP Act 2023.
    • GDPR.
    • CCPA/CPRA.
  • By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

  • CollabAId is provided on an “as is” basis.
  • We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation.
  • We do not endorse or verify user-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • CollabAId shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) for using the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or as required by law.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Any disputes shall first attempt to be resolved amicably.
  • If unresolved, disputes will be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Bengaluru, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
